Eternity (Poem)
when eternity lingers in the thoughts of men,
we learn to assume our immortality.
but our actions are a constant contradiction,
always on the look out for self-gratification,
while time slips through restless fingers like sand.
with attention spans short-circuited to seconds,
we traverse our goldfish bowls in endless circles,
remembering nothing but glass walls and empty space,
even though change has taken everything but memories' place.
tomorrow is the future past yet to come,
as routine ceaseless, fakes our living death.
to exist and never discover the purpose for life,
is a far greater tragedy than to live and die for a purpose.

Time (Poem)
with whole hours swallowed up by the past,
my clock is showing all the aging signs,
it is not enough to explore this world
in a single human being's lifetime.
(and so, I continue to travel in my dreams)

The Walking Dead (Poem)
spark-drained eyes staring up at the present,
a fading figure in a stream of countless shades
she's yielded to the world's notion
of a life set in clockwork motion,
by conformity held sway,
joining ranks with the walking dead.
(reality will never let her pull away)

Among The Whales (Poem)
she's dreaming among the whales,
drifting, slipping, sinking
down, down, down
into the endless fluid of eternity.

Lifesaver (Poem)
we're all leaning over the edge,
pretending these life buoys never existed
society taught us we should
never ever need them.
(we clutch the strained 'I'm fine's,
protesting normal till the brink of insanity)
our lives are perfect (-ly the opposite of dreams),
but to admit otherwise is suicide.
(i'm drowning)
