Dandelion Seeds (Poem)

I wanna blow dandelion seeds
And see them dancing away on the wind
Whisk every seed off,
Close my eyes and make a silent wish

For the world’s cries to stop
Or at least be heard
For the gun-shots and bloodshed to cease
And peace to be restored.

I wanna lie on the soft, green grass
And look up at the sky
With nothing on my mind
Except the clouds passing by

But as I stare at the endless blue
I cannot help but wonder
How we all live under the same sky
When the world is torn asunder.
